Dr Dylan Bartholomeusz

Dr Dylan Bartholomeusz graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1980 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He went on to train in gastroenterology and nuclear medicine (including Positron-Emission Tomography, or PET) and was made a member of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Physicians in Nuclear Medicine upon achieving his nuclear medicine qualifications.

In 1999 Dr Bartholomeusz completed his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Adelaide, publishing a thesis on the role of labelled leukocytes in inflammatory bowel disease.

He is a Senior Physician in Nuclear Medicine and Gastroenterology at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and a Senior Lecturer at the University of Adelaide.

His special interests are nuclear medicine in gastroenterological diagnosis, gastrointestinal transit, inflammatory bowel disease, Positron-Emission Tomography (PET) scanning in gastrointestinal disease, head and neck malignancy, breath testing and lymphoscintigraphy.

Dr Bartholomeusz is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, and has served on the Australian and New Zealand Association of Physicians in Nuclear Medicine Federal Council and the Federal Board of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Nuclear Medicine.
