Dr Maria Garcia
Neurologist
Dr Maria Garcia is a Consultant Neurologist with a subspeciality interest in movement disorders (such as Parkinson’s disease, tremor and dystonia). She received her medical degree from the University of Sydney in 2015, having completed an undergraduate degree in Laboratory Medicine with First Class Honours, and has undertaken post-graduate training between Sydney and Adelaide. Her broad skills in general neurology have been cultivated by training in diverse locations, including the Royal Adelaide, Queen Elizabeth, Blacktown and Westmead Hospitals.
Her subspecialty training in Movement Disorders was completed in 2023 at the highly regarded Movement Disorders Unit at Westmead Hospital, under the expertise of Professor Victor Fung and Dr Neil Mahant.
