Dr Andrew Moey has been a Consultant Neurologist since 2014. He completed his specialist neurology training at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre, including a Stroke Fellowship at the QEH in 2011.
He has worked in private practice at the QE Specialist Centre and Northern Neurology (Mawson Lakes) and has held a Staff Neurologist position at the Lyell McEwin Hospital since 2017. In addition to a comprehensive stroke service, the Lyell McEwin Hospital Neurology Department provides inpatient and outpatient care of patients with various acute and chronic neurological conditions, and Dr Moey services the Stroke and Headache Outpatient clinics there as Head of the Stroke Unit.
In addition to consulting in General Neurology, Dr Moey has keen interests in stroke assessment and management, including hyperacute perfusion imaging, as well as in the field of headache, in particular migraine assessment and management with emerging new therapies. He is a member of the Australia and New Zealand Association of Neurologists , the Australia and New Zealand Headache Society, the European Stroke Organisation, the American Stroke Association, and the Epilepsy Society of Australia.
Dr Moey consults in general neurology at Calvary Adelaide Hospital and provides botulinum toxin services there for neurological indications including chronic migraine, cervical dystonia, blepharospasm and hemifacial spasm, hyperhidrosis and focal spasticity.
