IBD rapid access clinic

IBD SA is launching a rapid access clinic for patients with Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis. This service is available for:

  • suspected new diagnosis of IBD,
  • acute exacerbations of IBD, and,
  • people with IBD who feel their IBD is not under control

Patients will be seen by a gastroenterologist specialising in IBD within a week of receiving a referral. A colonoscopy and diagnostic imaging will be arranged within two weeks, or as soon as possible after your appointment.

IBD SA has gastroenterologists with extensive experience and expertise in Crohn’s and Colitis, along with colorectal surgeons, psychologists, dietitians, radiologists and specialised IBD nurses. The team meets fortnightly to discuss new patients, major management decisions and review radiology.

Referrals, marked as ‘rapid access’, can be sent to (08) 8292 2377 or ibdsa@sagroup.net.au
