Dr Paul Spizzo
Gastroenterologist
Dr Paul Spizzo was born and raised in Adelaide, and graduated medicine from the University of Adelaide. He completed his gastroenterology training at Flinders Medical Centre, before completing a three-year IBD fellowship at St Vincent’s Hospital (Melbourne). During this time, he also completed a PhD, investigating the impact of newer medical treatments on the course of IBD and improving the quality of life of patients with IBD.
His main focus in IBD treatment is using new drug therapies and IBD drug trials. He has close working relationships with the IBD Nursing and Surgical teams across all practices and regularly attends multi-disciplinary team meetings and conferences.
